The Vulcan 900 was getting extrememly hard on my back to the point I could not ride it anymore. After a friend suggested going back to a sport touring riding position, and loaning his bike for an hour or so, I decided it was worth one more go.
This is the bike I bought in the summer of 2013.
2010 Honda NT700ABS
After about 10,000 miles in less than a year, this has worked out very well. I have taken two long trips, one to South Dakota, and one to the Canadian Maritimes. It handles extremely well and can keep up on the freeways and can do very well in the twisties. The miles per gallon has gone way up from my past bikes to 50 to 60mpg.
